Porticus 1.8.1 Released

This release updates the Greek localisation and has a couple of minor bug fixes. If anyone sees hangs when updating the port database let me know, I would be interested to know if it goes away after a selfupdate as well.

You can get Porticus 1.8.1 here.

I have started adding a little help to the web site, thanks to Jim Busser for providing the basis for this.

Hello, I think that the new version is not correctly packaged. I’ve downloaded it two times and the application inside the disk image has no icon and after installation closes immediately after opening.
Downloading version 1.8 and then updating inside the app works fine.

You are quite correct, I guess my automatic build is broken. I will build a new (fixed) version asap.

Porticus doesn’t seem to pick up things I installed outside of it.

Is this a known issue, a bug, or is there a way to get it to recognize things I installed before I installed Porticus?

    Thanks,

    S

Porticus should update its internal database when you run a self update or a Reload Ports command from the Ports menu. You can get Porticus to update its installed ports database on startup in the General Preferences. If you still have a problem let me know.
