Porticus 1.1 Released

After a considerable hiatus I released Porticus 1.0.0 a couple of weeks ago. Since then I have a received a few bug reports and a number of feature requests and am now pleased to announce the availability of Porticus 1.1.0. This release adds support for local repository overlays, French and Italian localisation and a few bug fixes.

Thanks to everyone for their feedback, help with testing the updates and especially for providing the localisations.

You can get Porticus 1.1 here.

Thanks for bringing porticus, it does its job very well and the interface is simple yet useful.

May I suggest a “nice” feature? It would be great if one could somehow select the default priority of the build process so that it uses only idle cycles.

Porticus is a very nice app, simple but gets the job done.

How do I use the clean option, I have a port that failed to install and I would like to be able to clean it without using the terminal.

Could you add a way too specify ‘-v’?

  4. admin Says:

Currently you can only clean ports that are installed, I’ll change that for the next version. I’ll also add an option to set the -v flag, probably a preference.

    Thanks for the feedback.

I might be funny that the opensource software people are those who do give a look into the kind of license. I haven’t found a notice which kind of license Porticus has. Don’t get me wrong, this is a very nice tool, you have the right to put it unter any license you like, but I just like do know which license it is?

As a big fan of MacPorts, This makes it a lot easier, Thanks.

    one request though,
in the search box (Search Ports / Search Description) could you remove the case
sensitivity, i.e. make searches non case sensitive?

    Thanks

Would like to help translating Porticus to German, but cannot find any email to get in contact with you…mail me if interested :)

  9. admin Says:

I’ve never written a specific licence agreement for Porticus. It is not currently open source but is free, basically:

“Porticus is freeware. No warranty either implicit or implied is included. Use at your own risk.”

I’d rather you didn’t sell it, or modify it without my permission and I hope you find it useful and tell your friends!

I could not find a checksum or gpg signatures. A web search failed to find this information. I look forward to seeing this information on the download page and also its inclusion in macports
    With best regards.
