Porticus 1.2 Released

Saturday, March 15th, 2008

I am pleased to announce a new update to Porticus, this release adds the following features:

  • An Edit menu to allow copying of progress sheet contents.
  • Preferences to control debug output.
  • Preferences to control defaults for upgrade operations.
  • Initial support for multiple selection, you can now
install/uninstall/upgrade/clean multiple ports in one operation.
Only the default port variants will be used however.

The current support for handling multiple ports has no intelligence beyond that provided by the standard ‘port’ command. In other words it doesn’t do any clever dependency checking or ensure that operations are performed in the best order. I hope to add some support for dependency checking in a later release.
