Porticus 1.8.1 Rebuilt

Apologies to anyone who downloaded the 1.8.1 DMG file which was badly broken. A new version has been uploaded and should work as expected. Internal application updates were not affected by the DMG packaging bug.

Porticus 1.8.1 Released

This release updates the Greek localisation and has a couple of minor bug fixes. If anyone sees hangs when updating the port database let me know, I would be interested to know if it goes away after a selfupdate as well.

Porticus 1.8 Released

This release some new features and improves support for MacPorts 1.8.

  • Improve MacPorts 1.8 support (update and uninstall options)
  • Added menu option to uninstall all inactive ports.
  • Added more options to clean command.
  • Cmd-Opt-F now moves directly to the search/filter field.

Porticus 1.7.1 Release

This is a minor bugfix release.

Porticus 1.7 Released

After rather longer than intended there is a new release of Porticus available. Real life has been intruding unfortunately. This release contains a few bugfixes and initial support for MacPorts 1.8.

  • Added Russian localisation.
  • Disable Update All option if nothing is outdated..
  • Initial support for MacPorts 1.8 (force upgrade uses –force and –enforce-variants).

I hope to improve MacPorts 1.8 and add a few new features over the next few months.

Porticus 1.6.3 Released

A new version of Porticus is now available, this is a bugfix release. It fixes a bug when uninstalling multiple ports where the installed ports have variants selected. The uninstall should now operate correctly.

I am currently looking at adding variant description details and non-root mode support for the next version.

Porticus 1.6.2 Released

A new version of Porticus is now available, this is a bugfix release. It fixes bug with displaying the port list on MacOS X 10.4 systems. Apologies for the problems with the latest updates for Tiger users. I hope all is now stable on both Tiger and Leopard.

Porticus 1.6.1 Released

A new version of Porticus is now available, this is a bugfix release. It fixes a crashing bug when performing a port update on MacOS X 10.4 systems. Another reason to avoid NSTreeController on Tiger.

Porticus 1.6 Released

A new version of Porticus is now available, this update adds the following:

  • The port details view now highlights ports which are required but not installed.
  • Porticus now tries to maintain selection after port operations.

NSConference Coming Soon

I just wanted to give a shout out to Scotty at the Mac Developer Network and all those involved in NSConference. It is a bit far for me to travel from New Zealand but developers in the UK and Europe should really try to get along. It looks like a great event.
