A new version of Porticus is now available, this is a bugfix release. It fixes bug with displaying the port list on MacOS X 10.4 systems. Apologies for the problems with the latest updates for Tiger users. I hope all is now stable on both Tiger and Leopard.
You can get Porticus 1.6.2 here.

I just wanted to give a shout out to Scotty at the Mac Developer Network and all those involved in NSConference. It is a bit far for me to travel from New Zealand but developers in the UK and Europe should really try to get along. It looks like a great event.

A new year has dawned and I have been thinking about what to do with Porticus. I have lots of ideas and suggestions (not to mention a few bug fixes) outstanding. I am considering a major interface update; almost certainly Leopard only. I have also been considering whether to make a ‘pro’ version and charge for it. The current version would remain free of course.
Nothing has been decided as yet but I’m looking for comments and opinions on these no doubt controversial ideas.

- Close button on main window now terminates the application (like System Preferences)
- Update close/cancel button on sheets to reflect the current status.
You can get Porticus 1.4.3 here.

- Added men’s hat size conversions
- Added women’s brassiere size conversions
- Added Australian size conversions
- Added tap highlighting for clothing conversion pages
